Road Scholar Programs

The Tallman has a close relationship with the Road Scholar Program, which puts on outstanding multi-day adult education and travel programs throughout the world.  Participants in each one enjoy our first rate accommodations and meals and get an intimate introduction to the wonders of Lake County.  The Tallman owners and staff are directly involved in arranging speakers and field trips that would be impossible on an individual visit.

In May 2012 we hosted a Backcountry Birding Adventure led by Brad Barnwell, a knowledgeable and engaging personality who is just completing a deeply researched 300 page book called "Birding Lake County" illustrated with his marvelous photography.  Learn more at the program page on the Road Scholar web site.  A similar birding program is planned for May 19-25, 2013.

Wine programs in 2013 are scheduled for May 5-10 and October 6-11.

2013 Winemaker Dinners

Meet some of Lake County's finest owners and winemakers at this series  of four course Saturday evening Winemaker Dinners on March 2 (Obsidian Ridge Wines), April 6 (Chacewater Wines) and May 4 (Ceago Wines).  The events this year begin with appetizers and tastings at the Lake County Wine Studio across the street and then proceed to the beautiful dining room of the Tallman  Hotel.   Learn More >

2013 Concerts

Join us for informal house concerts on Saturday evenings from January through April (Jan. 26, Feb. 23, Mar. 23 and April 20) in the intimate confines of the Meeting House next to the Hotel and for our lively outdoor Blues Festival the first weekend in August and on Labor Day. Learn More >
