FLY HIGH IN THE SKY WITH “THE AVIATOR PACKAGE,” AN
EXCITING NEW ATTRACTION AT LAKE COUNTY’S TALLMAN HOTEL
- Live Out Your Fantasies By Soaring High
Above Northern California’s Wine Country in a Fully-Restored
Open Cockpit WWII Stearman Bi-Plane -
LAKE COUNTY, CA, October 23,
2006 – Do
you remember the scene in “Out of Africa” where Meryl Streep
and Robert Redford experience the magic of Africa’s magnificent
countryside from the air, flying across the jungles and plains in an
open-cockpit bi-plane? Have you ever imagined what it would be
like to see Northern California’s Wine Country from high in the
sky, traversing miles of cascading green hills and sparkling blue lakes
in a vintage open-air bi-plane? Well, now you can be one of the
rare few, courtesy of Lake County’s most beautiful new boutique
hotel, the Tallman Hotel, with their Aviator
Package.
The Tallman’s new Aviator Package offers visitors the opportunity
to experience the extraordinary thrill of flying in a fully-restored,
open cockpit World War II Stearman Bi-Plane. Guests will soar over
spectacular Lake County, passing Mt. Konocti, the extinct volcano that
created Clearlake, California’s largest natural lake, and dipping
over acres of vineyards and orchards backlit by a morning sunrise or
evening sunset. A truly unforgettable adventure!
Upon landing, guests will receive a complimentary
souvenir photograph of themselves with this magnificent airplane, one
of only a hundred left in the United States. After their exciting flight,
they’ll return
to the Tallman for a luxurious night in one of their historic hotel rooms,
where they can relax in a clawfoot bath tub built for two.
The package is available Sunday-Thursday for
$299+tax, or Friday-Saturday for $350+tax. If one night is not
enough, an extra night can be added for just $99 more. The package
is for a one person flight only – a second person can be added
for $179.
