Tallman
Hotel Location
The Tallman Hotel is located on Main Street in the
town of Upper Lake, in California's Lake County. Next
door to the hotel is the recently re-established Blue
Wing Saloon serving up "Comfort Food With A California Twist" seven
days a week from 11am - 10pm.
The Tallman is the first and only boutique hotel in
Lake County.
If you're flying in from elsewhere, the easiest drive
is from Sacramento airport but Oakland and San Francisco also provide
an easy drive into the country.
Directions
From the Sacramento area: Proceed north on Interstate
5 to Williams and turn left on Highway 20 to Lakeport and Ukiah. Proceed
along the east side of Clear Lake to Upper Lake (just before Highway
20 intersects with Highway 29 to Lakeport). Turn right on Main
St. in Upper Lake. Proceed through town. The hotel is on
your right. Time: approx. 2 1/2 hours.
From San Francisco: Go north over
the Golden Gate Bridge on Highway 101. Just past Ukiah, turn right
on Highway 20 to Upper Lake. Just
past the Highway 29 turnoff for Lakeport, turn left onto Main St. Upper
Lake. The hotel is on the right. Time: about 2 1/2 hours.
From Oakland and the East Bay: Take Highway 80 north
over the Carquinez Bridge and through Vallejo. Go left on the Marine
World Parkway (Highway 37). Then turn right on Highway 29 through
Napa, St. Helena and Calistoga in the Napa Valley. Turn right through
Calistoga (still on Highway 29), over Mt. St. Helena, through Middletown
to the Junction at Lower Lake. Continue straight at this junction
(the road becomes Highway 53) until it intersects with Highway 20 to
Ukiah. Turn left on Highway 20 along the east side of Clear Lake
until you turn right onto Main St. Upper Lake. The hotel is on
the right. Time: about 2 3/4 hours.
