The Tallman Hotel in Upper Lake California is a return to a simpler time. This handsome country hotel, built in the 1890's, was completely restored and expanded to a 17-room luxury facility between 2004 and 2006.  It received one of seven statewide historic preservation awards in 2007 from the California Heritage Council.
